Dwyane Wade openly admits that long before falling head over heels for Gabrielle Union, the first love of the NBA Hall of Famer is and would always be his mother Jolinda Wade. He had even gifted a church to his mother after she completed her turnaround back in 2008 as a baptist pastor.

Jolinda Wade spoke about her son on Today with Jenna & Friends, while reminiscing a heartfelt moment about him. She said,

“I remember how we became pen pals when I was incarcerated. Your letters got me through each day and enabled me to be a part of all the wonderful things that was happening in your life.”

Dwyane Wade’s mother, Jolinda has struggled with addiction for a long time and openly admits that her son has stood by her like a rock.
