Prince Harry could be set to return to the UK within weeks for a pretty important engagement. The Duke of Sussex, 40, last stepped foot in his home country in April, when he was spotted attending a Court of Appeal hearing regarding his UK taxpayer-funded security arrangements - a case he lost just weeks later.
In an interview with the BBC in May, the prince then spoke about how he did not think the UK was safe for his family. He is believed to have not returned to Britain since.
However, this could be set to change within weeks as the duke could attend the 2025 Wellchild Awards, which celebrate the inspiring qualities of some of the country's seriously ill young people, as well as those who help care for them.
This award ceremony usually takes place in September, with the prince, who has been patron of Wellchild for over 15 years, having flown in from his Montecito home in California for the awards two years in a row in 2023 and 2024.
It has not been confirmed whether or not he will attend this year's awards in person, with the ceremony usually taking place in London.
The exact date of the event, or the location, has not yet been made public.
Last year, Prince Harry seemed thrilled to be at the awards and flew in solo without his wife Meghan Markle, 44, who stayed in America with the couple's children Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four.
The prince was the only royal at the event last year, which saw him give a speech, meet children and their families, and hand out some awards.
The location of the ceremony was not made public until the day of the event out of fears for the prince's safety.
It is believed his team will confirm within the coming weeks whether or not he will attend this year's ceremony in person.
