Center Parcs has introduced a major overhaul at its parks that will affect all visitors that comes into force in weeks. The holiday park chain has announced that visitors will be required to do one thing differently upon arrival from September 29.
Center Parcs bosses have made the decision to stagger entry times for its guests at all five of its holiday villages. In an effort to slash traffic congestion and lengthy queues, holidaymakers now will have to check in to their lodges at certain times in a tiered arrival system. The chain claims it will "create a smoother, more relaxing" arrival for visitors.
Visitors will gain access to their accommodation at varying intervals. A spokesperson informed guests: "This new approach is designed to create a smoother, more relaxing arrival experience for all guests.
"By staggering lodge entry times, we are aiming to reduce traffic on the village, minimise queues, improve availability of parking spaces and give guests staying in premium lodges even more time to settle in."
The firm confirmed that all guests arriving from September 29 would benefit from the tiered entry schedule, irrespective of when their reservation was secured, reports Nottinghamshire Live.
It emphasised that customers wouldn't need to take any additional steps as part of the transformation, beyond adhering to the arrival guidance in their pre-arrival email or booking confirmation.

Center Parcs also made clear guests wouldn't face any extra fees for their allocated entry slots, stating the modification had been "designed to enhance your experience and create a more relaxed arrival".
From September 29, guests will be able to access the various types of lodges at Center Parcs from the following times:
- Treehouses: access from 1pm
- Exclusive Lodges: access from 2pm (no change)
- Forest Lodges, Hotels & Apartments: access from 3pm
- Woodland Lodges: access from 4pm (no change)
For those who have opted for early arrival, the updated times are as follows:
- Forest Lodges, Hotels & Apartments: access from 1pm
- Woodland Lodges: access from 2pm (no change)
A Center Parcs spokesperson added: "You can still arrive on village from 10am on your arrival day, park in the car park and enjoy everything from the Subtropical Swimming Paradise to cycle hire and many other activities. This change only affects the time your lodge will be ready.
"If your lodge includes a hot tub, it will be cleaned, prepared and ready to enjoy from around 4pm - just in time for a relaxing dip after you settle in."
Guests staying in the resort's Woodland and Forest accommodation have the option to purchase early entry, allowing them to settle in two hours earlier than usual.
For Woodland Lodges, this means guests can enter from 2pm (instead of 4pm) and from 1pm (instead of 3pm) for Forest Lodges, Hotel and Apartments.
