Bhubaneswar: Odisha Police’s Crime Branch has intensified its investigation into the sub-inspector (SI) recruitment examination scam.
A three-member police team, accompanied by officials of Baideswar Police in Cuttack, conducted searches at key suspect Munna Mohanty’s residence at Kalapathar, in Banki area of Cuttack district, on Saturday.
Some incriminating documents have been seized, as per reports.
Mohanty and three of his associates were arrested during a raid on a farmhouse in Nayagarh district’s Daspalla area on Thursday evening.
The Crime Branch have so far arrested 123 people, including 114 SI aspirants, in the ongoing investigation.
The recruitment exam was postponed due to suspected question paper leak.
Mohanty is believed to be the key associate of scam mastermind Shankar Prusty, who is still on the run.
