Yellowstone star Hassie Harrison's latest thriller, which has been hailed as a masterful blend of some of the greatest horror films ever made, is now ready to stream.

Dangerous Animals hit screens earlier this year and features Harrison, known for playing Laramie in the popular Paramount Network Western series, as an American surfer called Zephyr who's travelling around Australia's Gold Coast.

Following a brief encounter with a property agent, she finds herself captured by the deranged Tucker (portrayed by Jai Courtney), who regularly abducts holidaymakers and uses them as shark bait.

Stranded miles offshore, Zephyr must rely on her wits and face unthinkable choices to survive.

Whilst shark-themed films have been a horror mainstay for generations, numerous viewers have already been impressed by this gruesome and gripping take on the familiar formula, reports the Express.

Film critic Mark Kermode praised it as "well made and tense", although he cautioned cinema-goers that it's also "really nasty".

The film currently boasts an outstanding 87 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes, making Dangerous Animals definitely worth watching now that it's streaming on MGM+ through Prime Video.

The streaming service can be added for just £5.99 monthly, or you can register for a complimentary trial to view the movie and explore its vast library this weekend.

One particularly glowing Google review declared: "The best way to describe this movie is Jaws meets Silence Of The Lambs meets Kill Bill. This movie is just unbearable tension filled utterly nerve jolting!

"Seriously if you like these sort of too good for comfort movies, make it your business to see this on the big screen.

"Jai Courtney delivers a too good for comfort performance without it being parody I mean shove an Oscar into his hand already & Hassie Harrison unquestionably delivers the credible goods."

"Dangerous Animals might just be my favourite film of 2025," someone else said in their five-star write-up.

"It's a brilliantly subversive serial killer thriller that uses sharksploitation as bait and slasher tropes as its hook.

"There are some terrifying set pieces in the film, climaxing with a truly barnstorming and crowd-pleasing finale," they added.

"The two lead performances here are incredible.

"Hassie Harrison embodies ingenuity and strength as a heroine who refuses to be a victim, while Jai Courtney is absolutely magnificent as the killer out to prove that man is the most dangerous animal of all. Highly recommended!"

Whether you're already a devotee of the two stars or eager to plunge into a fresh yet savage take on a familiar genre, Dangerous Animals is absolutely unmissable.

Dangerous Animals is available to stream on MGM+ via Prime Video.
