Fans of Tanya Burr and Jim Chapman were devastated when the YouTube power couple called time on their relationship in 2019, four years after getting married.
Tanya and Jim were part of the so-called 'Brit crew' of YouTubers who rose to fame in the mid-2010s, along with Alfie Deyes, Zoe Sugg, Caspar Lee and Marcus Butler. Tanya and Jim also became owners of dachshund Martha in 2015, who would regularly feature in their volgs and Instagram posts.
In March 2019, after 12 years together, Tanya took to Instagram to share: "Just wanted to let you all know that a few weeks ago Jim and I made the painful decision to no longer be together."

The now mum-of-one added: "We have a huge amount of love and respect for each other and will continue to remain friends forever. Thank you in advance for respecting our privacy at this difficult time."
Meanwhile, Jim, who is now a dad-of-two and married to model Sarah Tarleton, added: "We will continue to support one another in all of our ventures and are both looking forward to what the future holds."
And while fans were devastated that the couple's relationship had ended, there was also a lot of concern for what would happen to Martha - especially as the pooch stopped appearing in their content.
People started leaving comments on social media asking for an update. One person recently took to X to ask: "Can someone please tell me what happened to Tanya Burr and Jim Chapman's dog? Where is Martha Moo??"
According to Benedict Townsend, host of Scroll Deep, the mass interest even led Tanya to block the word 'dog' from the comment section of her Instaagram posts. In a Scroll Deep clip, Benedict explained this led people to "hilariously start commenting things like where is the hound".
So what actually happened? Six years after their split, Jim's sister Nicola has taken to social media to finally clear up the mystery.
Makeup artist Nicola, uploaded a video on August 17 titled: "Where's the hound? Question answered." In the tongue-in-cheek video, she said she wanted to "quash a myth, a tale as old as time, where is the hound".
With her brother Jim's permission, Nicola finally spilled the beans on what happened to Martha.
She explained that – after the divorce – Jim had moved into a London flat with no garden. Meanwhile, Tanya had stayed in their house, which had a garden but also included stairs.
Unfortunately, around that time, Martha had a problem with her back which meant she couldn't go up stairs.
Nicola explained: "Martha had to have rehab for her back to try to make that better. It also meant more time, and 24 hour care, and also Tanya and Jim had separated so it made it very difficult. [...]
"So with Martha needing 24 hour care, them having to work non-stop and not having each other as a back-up, it became quite difficult."
According to Nicola, Tanya and Jim reached out to family and friends to see if anyone could care for Martha.
And thankfully, a family member's best friend stepped in. They already had a sausage dog and lived on a farm in Norfolk, making it the perfect place for the little dachshund.
Nicola added: "So Martha is still alive, she's absolutely fine. They gave money for her to continue her rehab when [the new owner] took her on, so she is running around happily."
She even attached some footage at the end of the video, showing Martha running around and getting her belly stroked. Understandably, fans of the couple were gobsmacked after finally being able to find out what happened.
One person said: "We've found the hound." Another exclaimed: "I cannot believe we have just seen footage of Martha in 2025. My jaw is on the floor."
A third wrote: "I can’t believe that we've actually found out what happened to Martha, kind of in shock."
Meanwhile, a fourth added: "Martha is living her best life. Thank you for putting this hound business to bed."
Tanya Burr and Jim Chapman's representatives have been approached for comment.
