Manchester United will face Grimsby Town in the Carabao Cup later this month as they enter the competition at this early stage for the first time in 11 years.
Ruben Amorim's side will travel to the League Two side on the week commencing August 25, with United playing their first second round match since 2014 when Louis van Gaal's Red Devils were humbled 4-0 by League One's MK Dons.
United are playing at this early stage of the competition after failing to qualify for European football for the first time since 2014, when Van Gaal replaced David Moyes in the Old Trafford dugout.
The club - who are six time winners of the competition, most recently in 2023 - finished 15th in the Premier League last season and lost the Europa League final to Tottenham Hotspur in Bilbao.
