If you’ve ever had that moment of panic when you realise you don’t know where you’ve put something, then a tracking tag might well be one of the best purchases you can make. Ideal for attaching to easily lost items like keys, wallets, phones and bags, it’s a great way to give yourself peace of mind.
To save yourself some money, now is a great chance to snap up Samsung’s Galaxy SmartTag2 Bluetooth Tracker, because Amazon just slashed a huge 62% off the price. Usually a single tag would cost £34.99, but it’s now on sale for just £13.43, saving you £21.57.

The discounted price massively undercuts Apple’s AirTag, which is £29 for one, and has been praised for how reliable and easy to use it is by Amazon shoppers. It has almost 1500 five star reviews from shoppers raving about its accuracy and quick set up.
One happy customer wrote: “Outstanding simple piece of tech, effective and does exactly what it says on the tin. Setup; Easy process pull the tab to release battery and the tag will appear on your phone, takes seconds to add onto smart things and it's done, no longer than a minute. Practicality; I use these on my keys, in my wallet and even my car, easy to locate using the app and an absolute life saver in the early morning panics of where are the keys. Car helps added piece of mind for security, very small to hide, also helps locating where you left car when parking. Overall this is a fantastic piece of kit that all should add into their Samsung eco system, highly recommend.”
Another added: “Best tracker for Samsung. Tiny size and has a built in key ring in its design makes it hard to lose. Very precise and my phone even points towards it. I can even find my phone using the tag too plus turn all my smart devices off and set my cameras to away mode by just pressing the tag.”
The Galaxy SmartTag2 Bluetooth Tracker has up to 500 days of battery life, and you can extend that by 40% by turning on power saving mode. When lost mode is activated the tag Near Field Communication (NFC) displays your registered contact information and a message on the finder’s phone, so your belongings can be returned to you.
You can also have your smart tracker loudly ring to help you locate lost items nearby (perfect if you always seem to misplace your keys or wallet at home) and Compass View helps you navigate directly to your missing item with step by step instructions. It’s also built to withstand dust and water, so if you lose something outdoors the elements shouldn’t affect it.
You can also pick up the Chipolo ONE tracker, which comes in a range of colours and is on sale down from £22 to £13. Alternatively, if you don’t want an obvious tracker dangling from your purse or wallet, you can pick up the Tile by Life360 Slim which fits into a card holder slot or small pocket in your bag or wallet for a discreet way to track it down.
However the Galaxy SmartTag2 Bluetooth Tracker has garnered plenty more praise from shoppers, with one saying: “Works great easy to set up connects to smart things, its light good size and accurate. Works by picking up signal from near-by/passing samsung phones and pings from that location so you know where it was last, not necessarily where it is.”
Another added: “I use it for my dog, works wonderfully connected the the other smart devices in my house i know he is safe all the time and living on a farm i can see we're he is when his out in the woods...its a win win really he is free to go out and I have peace of mind knowing I can find him if he doesn't come when I call him.”
Some were less impressed, adding: “Works but battery lasted 9 months, nowhere near 500 days.”
A second chimed in: “Lack of features in some sense, would be useful to have notifications if the tag moved when you're not nearby it for instance. Quite expensive for what it is and the app is fairly buggy. Does mostly do the job though and is accurate and long-lasting.”
However another couldn’t live without their Galaxy SmartTag2 Bluetooth Tracker, saying: “Very quick to set up using the smart things app. It instantly detected it, and set it up within seconds. Then I had to purposely "lose them" so I could hunt them backdown. The tag was accurate, easy to find and a small range of tones could be used to set to the device so it rings when activated to help find it when lost in hedges, behind sofa cushions, in the laundry basket....”
