The marathon carried forward the message of the PM-PRANAM initiative (PM Programme for Restoration, Awareness Generation, Nourishment, and Amelioration of Mother-Earth) - a visionary scheme of the Government of India that encourages states and union territories to adopt sustainable agricultural practices by promoting the balanced use of fertilizers and reducing their excessive application, thereby conserving soil health.
Dr. Siba Prasad Mohanty, Managing Director, HURL, along with other dignitaries, senior officials, and representatives of the farming community were present, lending their support to the cause.
The run echoed the powerful call of “संतुलित खेती, सुरक्षित मिट्टी”, inspiring farmers and stakeholders to embrace balanced nutrition and soil health as pillars of India’s agricultural future.
Speaking at the event, the Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare of Haryana, Sh. Shyam Singh Rana, said:
“The PM-PRANAM Kisan Marathon is a celebration of our farmers’ role in protecting the earth. Together, with balanced farming and sustainable practices, we can build a future where soil health is preserved, productivity is enhanced, and farmers prosper.”
