Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The foundation-laying ceremony of PM Mitra Park in Dhar on August 25 has been postponed.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was to lay the foundation of the park. Now, Modi will visit only Gwalior.
The state government is trying to get a fresh date for the foundation-laying ceremony of the PM Mitra Park from Modi. He is visiting Gwalior to hold talks with the President of Fiji, Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu. Both leaders will stay in Gwalior for four hours.
The Foreign Ministry is conducting Modi’s event in Gwalior. The state government is trying to organise an event during the Prime Minister’s stay in Gwalior. So, the talks are being held with the Prime Minister’s Office.
His Dhar programme was to be held after the Gwalior event, which was to continue till late in the evening. Thus, the event was postponed for security reasons.

In the past 20 months, Modi visited the state 11 times. He recently visited Bhopal on the 300th anniversary of Ahilya Bai when he participated in a conference on women empowerment.
