Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], October 2 (ANI): BRS leader Dasoju Sravan Kumar on Wednesday accused the Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of implementing the "agenda of BJP" in the State and once again attempting to "mislead" muslims.
Speaking to ANI, Kumar said, "The Telangana government is once again trying to mislead Muslims. The Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb that KCR tried to preserve during his ten years as Chief Minister is being completely destroyed by the Congress Chief Minister and his government by misleading Muslims."
The BRS leader also alleged that the Congress government attempted to implement the Waqf Amendment Act in the State despite the matter being pending in the Supreme Court.
"Telangana CM Revanth Reddy is implementing the BJP's agenda in Telangana while wearing the Congress hat. No other state in India has implemented the Waqf Amendment Act. But there is only one state, a Congress-ruled state, that's in Telangana, and despite the case being pending in the Supreme Court, they have tried to do so"
"This is shameful. It's unclear whether they are carrying out the Congress agenda or the BJP's agenda," the BRS leader alleged
The Congress government of Telangana has not yet responded to these allegations.
The BRS leader also accused the government of shutting down institutions and programmes aimed at the welfare of Muslim.
"They are closing down the Presidential Welfare School for Muslims. They are trying to destroy Muslims completely," he alleged, adding, "Now the time has come to teach them a lesson." (ANI)
